AULD LANG SYNE - ROBERT BURNS The poem Auld Lang Syne was written in 1788. and was published in 1796 by the Scottish poet Robert Burns. This poem was first published in Volumes five of James Johnson's Scots Musical Museum. This poem is claimed to be taken from an old man's singing. The lyrics were closely related with New year's festival and also the settings were noted to be western Countries. This song was considered to be sung during the New year's evening with a cup of wine. together with family and friends to cherish and flourish their relationships.
